5 Tips To Search On Google

We had ICT lessons and the ICT teacher asked use to write 5 tips for when you have trouble with Search on the internet. I have 5 tips to help you.

  1. When you are searching for something and it only look for the basic but you want to have something special, use than square brackets [ ] to signal a search query, so when you are searching for white and black, type than [ white ] and [ black ].
  2. By putting double quotes around a few words, you saying to Google to consider the exact words in that exact order without any change. For example, when you are looking for Alexander G. Bell look for [ “Alexander Bell” ].
  3. When you are looking for a site. Google allows you to specify that your search results must come from a given website. For example, the query [ iraq site:nytimes.com ] will return pages about Iraq but only from nytimes.com. The simpler queries [ iraq nytimes.com ] or [ iraq New York Times ] will usually be just as good, though they might return results from other sites that mention the New York Times.
  4. When you Search for [ new york times  ] it is the same as when you search for [ New York Time ]
  5. When you search with @#$%^&*()=+[]\ and other special characters the search program ignored the special characters.
