Evaluation of the unit

This blog post is of what I learned in the past ICT lessons on school. We have been taking computers out of each other and installing programs on computers. We learnt how the PC’s work and what the inside includes.

We used the Four Layer Model to plan our lessons. I have learned a lot in this unit. I didn’t know very much about the inside of a computer. We took the computer out of each other’s and learned what parts there are in a computer and why they are there. I also have learnt that a computer has different kind of insides. Some have their hard drive on one side, will other computers have there hard drive somewhere buried away.

We downloaded software on the computer, sadly I wasn’t there. The next lesson we talked about network. We learnt how a network is set up and how we are able to use Internet. We searched about the connection between computer from the same server and we looked at the school’s network. We also learnt what an IP address.

I have never seen a computer from inside. This unit was very fun and a big challenge for me, because I don’t know a lot about the computer. I have learnt what is inside a computer, how to connect the computer to a server and how a computer is unique.
